Troop 763 was started in the spring of 1995 through a charter by the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks, Lodge # 45. The Elks Lodge #45 is one of the oldest lodges in the United States. Since that time we have grown to help more boys in Scouting.
Our current membership totals 18 boys with scouts from 11-17 years old. Our Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters accompany the boys on monthly campouts, one week of summer camp each year, and to Heart of Virginia Council activities. We provide numerous opportunities for service to the community and within the Council.
